Japan PM announces 1,000 biogas plants in India by 2030

Japan PM Sanae Takaichi announced setting up 1,000 biogas plants in India by 2030 under the Japan-India Compressed Biogas (CBG) initiative. She added that India and Japan have jointly agreed to promote clean energy production from cattle dung and other agricultural biomass. "We shall jointly create a market of approximately 2.5 million CNG vehicles powered by this biogas," she said.
