Japan PM proposes G7 joint stockpiles for critical minerals

Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi at the G7 Summit in France proposed a joint stockpiling cooperation initiative among member nations to strengthen reserves of critical minerals. The proposal likely involves participating countries holding at least 90 days' worth of critical minerals and coordinating during supply disruptions. China produces around 60% of the world's rare earths and processes nearly 90%.
