Japan raises visa fees by 5-times in 1st fee revision since 1978

Japan's Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said the country increased visa fees by five-times in its first fee revision since 1978 to reflect "inflation and exchange rate fluctuations". From July 1, single-entry visa fees will be raised to 15,000 yen (over ₹8,790) and multi-entry visas will cost 30,000 yen (over ₹17,580).
