Japan's US alliance limits its autonomy: Sreeram Chaulia

Dean of Jindal School of International Affairs Sreeram Chaulia said on the podcast that Japan's alliance with the US has permanently capped its ambitions. He said Japan cannot test nuclear weapons, hosts 45,000 American troops, and its constitution was written by Americans. "It does not have autonomy; that choice isn't there," he said.
