Japan to expedite green card issuance to professionals

While the US is proposing laws to reduce the numbers of H-1B visas, Japan is drafting a new law to expedite issuance of green cards with permanent residency status to highly skilled professionals of foreign countries, including India. The government is planning to reduce the issuance time to 24-48 months in a bid to attract foreign talent.
