Japan to hire 50,000 workers from Haryana amid labour shortage

Amid shortage of skilled labour, Japan has sought cooperation from Haryana government by letting it hire 50,000 workers from the state over the next five years. Nearly 80% of companies in Japan's Fukuoka prefecture are currently facing a severe shortage of technically skilled manpower. Haryana government will introduce new courses in Japanese language to meet the needs of Fukuoka.
