Japan to offer $100 mn to Indo-Pacific nations to fight COVID-19

Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi on Friday announced that Japan plans to offer $100 million in aid to developing countries in the Indo-Pacific region in their fight against the coronavirus pandemic. The funds will help in vaccination data management, border control and disposal of infectious waste, he said. Hayashi made the comments on sidelines of a G7 Foreign Ministers meeting.
