Japan tour of Maharashtra MLAs cancelled after PM Modi's appeal to avoid int'l travel

The Japan tour of 12 Maharashtra MLAs has been cancelled after Prime Minister Modi appealed to Indians to avoid international travel amid the Iran war. Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar, who was to lead the tour, announced the decision. Earlier, Maharashtra Minister Ashish Shelar had cancelled his visit to the Cannes Film Festival, stating that he will attend it virtually.
