Japanese firms in India hired 4,59,000 employees in India

Japanese companies are expanding their India footprint, with 1,463 Japanese-owned businesses and 75 global capability centres now operating in the country, with over 4,59,000 employees. With cumulative FDI at $48.14 billion and growing activity in tech, AI, semiconductors, digital infrastructure and clean energy, India-Japan business relationship is increasingly moving beyond manufacturing.
