Japanese man hacks Pokemon games to sell custom characters; held
A 36-year-old man has been arrested in Japan for tampering saved data for Nintendo games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet and selling custom-made characters on an online gaming marketplace. Yoshihiro Yamakawa was caught red-handed by police cyber patrol while accepting orders for his custom-made characters. His act allegedly was in violation of Japan's Unfair Competition Prevention Act.
