Japanese restaurant allows diners to eat separately

A Japanese restaurant chain that gives its customers a chance to eat alone has opened in New York. The eating area at Ichiran Ramen is partitioned into individual sections separating diners, while interaction between diners and staff is limited. Manabu Yoshitomi, the founder, reportedly came up with the concept after he saw people cover their mouths while eating ramen.
