Japanese soft drinks firm to test CO2 absorbing vending machines

Japan-based Asahi Soft Drinks has announced it would start testing CO2 absorbing vending machines next month. The machines will be equipped with a special material that will allow them to absorb CO2 when they draw in ambient air to keep drinks inside hot or cool, Asahi said. The company further plans to use the absorbed CO2 in various industrial applications.
