A video showing tourists, purportedly from Japan, wearing undergarments and Santa hats at a ghat in Varanasi has surfaced on social media. The tourists were made to apologise by a crowd, with one of them seen apologising with folded hands. A person then asked one of the tourists to go away, while another told them, "Get out."
