Japan's 'Moon Sniper' mission to launch tomorrow

Japan will launch its SLIM (Smart Lander for Investigating Moon), nicknamed 'Moon Sniper', on Thursday (September 7). The mission was scheduled for an August 28 launch, which was postponed minutes before the launch time due to bad weather. SLIM, whose main objective is to demonstrate precision landing, will attempt Japan's first successful lunar landing about four months after its launch.
