Jay-Z backs luxury watch marketplace Wristcheck in $5 mn fundraise

Rapper Jay-Z has invested in Hong Kong-based luxury watch marketplace Wristcheck in a funding round of about $5 million. Founded by Instagram influencer Austen Chu, Wristcheck also counts Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund, Gobi Partners GBA and K3 Ventures among its investors. The rapper is a known collector of watches from brands including Patek Philippe and Richard Mille.
