Jaya said she got Amitabh to stay faithful by 'leaving him alone'

Jaya Bachchan, reacting to rumours of Amitabh Bachchan's affair with Rekha, once said that her marriage survived by giving him space. "By just leaving him alone. You have to have the conviction. I married a good man and a family that believes in commitment. You must not get too possessive, especially in our profession," she had said.
