Jayant 1st Indian to score a Test century batting at ninth

Jayant Yadav became the first Indian to score a century batting at number nine, during the Mumbai Test against England on Sunday. Yadav, playing his career's third Test, went past former cricketer Farokh Engineer's 90, scored in 1965, to register the highest score by an Indian batting at number nine. Meanwhile, Yadav and Virat Kohli recorded India's highest eighth-wicket stand.
