Jharkhand steps up monitoring after suspected Nipah cases nearby

Jharkhand has intensified health surveillance after two suspected Nipah virus cases were reported in West Bengal, officials said. The cases involve two nurses from a Barasat hospital whose samples tested positive at AIIMS Kalyani and were sent to NIV Pune for confirmation. Over 120 close contacts have been identified and placed under home isolation.
