Jhunjhunwala sells entire stake in gaming firm Nazara weeks before govt banned gambling games

Veteran investor late Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's wife Rekha sold her entire stake in gaming firm Nazara Technologies in June 2025, weeks before Online Gaming Bill, which banned real-money and gambling games, was passed. She began selling in June 2-6 period, followed by another round on June 9-10. She earned about ₹770 crore by selling the Nazara stake, collecting a four-fold return.
