Jio leads telecom market with 19 lakh subscriber additions in Sept

Reliance Jio led India's telecom market in September 2026, adding 19 lakh mobile subscribers out of telecom industry's 22 lakh net additions, according to analysis of TRAI data cited by Moneycontrol. Airtel's additions slowed to two lakh users, while Vodafone Idea lost three lakh. Jio's mobile subscriber base stood at 48.3 crore at September end, with 1.74 crore annual additions.
