Jio plans to launch low-Earth orbit constellation of 1,650 satellites

Jio Platforms is evaluating the development of a low-Earth orbit satellite constellation, MD Akash Ambani said. The company has submitted plans to the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) for setting up a constellation of 1,650 satellites, PTI reported, citing sources. Jio announced a deal with SpaceX last year to offer Starlink satellite internet services in India.
