Jio to use satellites to provide 4G services in remote areas

Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio is planning to use satellites to provide 4G services in some rural and remote areas. Jio will reportedly use capacity from Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and satellite technology from Hughes Communications. Jio will connect more than 400 sites which are beyond the reach of the terrestrial network for the services, a Hughes official said.
