Jishnu Dev Varma takes oath as Governor of Maharashtra

Jishnu Dev Varma took oath as the Governor of Maharashtra on Tuesday. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar, and Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar were present at the oath-taking ceremony. Varma’s appointment comes following President Droupadi Murmu’s major administrative reshuffle of Governors and Lieutenant Governors across the country.
