JNPA announces 50% ground rent relief for import containers

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority has announced a 50% reimbursement of ground rent charged beyond eight days for eligible import-laden containers. The relief covers containers discharged from May 1 and removed by June 20, 2026. The move aims to support importers affected by trailer driver shortages that caused cargo evacuation delays and increased container dwell times.
