JNPA cuts stranded containers by 82% amid driver shortage
JNPA said the number of CFS-bound containers stranded for over 15 days has dropped from 2,500 to 450 following measures to tackle congestion caused by a trailer driver shortage. It expects port operations to normalise by first week of June after reducing long-pending container backlog by more than 80%. JNPA has eased congestion with daily gate operations reaching nearly 18,000TEUs.
