Job instability, early retirement linked to cognitive deficits: Study

Stable employment in midlife was associated with better cognitive health in later life, according to a study published in Alzheimer's & Dementia. Conversely, employment instability, early retirement and dropping out of the labour force were linked to poorer cognitive outcomes, the study found. The research analysed data from 2,418 individuals, including 1,470 women and 948 men.
