Jobless economists: Goyal on critics questioning India's GDP growth
Union Minister Piyush Goyal slammed critics questioning India’s 7.8% GDP growth in Q1 FY27 and accused them of undermining nation's achievements for political gain. "A few jobless people call themselves economists and appear on TV channels to harm...the country. Don’t fall for this," Goyal said. Earlier, former Finance Secretary SC Garg had claimed that India’s economy grew by only 2.6%.
