Joe Biden becomes first US Prez to recognise Armenian genocide

Joe Biden has become the first US President to recognise the massacres of an estimated 15 lakh Armenians under the Ottoman Empire during WWI as genocide. Biden's move is being welcomed by Armenians with "great enthusiasm", Armenia's PM Nikol Pashinyan said. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said that Turkey "entirely rejects" the US decision which is based "solely on populism".
