Former England captain Joe Root has become the joint-youngest batter to reach 10,000 runs in Test cricket. Root completed 10,000 runs in Test cricket at the age of 31 years and 157 days, equalling Alastair Cook's record. He overtook Sachin Tendulkar, who had reached the 10,000-run mark at the age of 31 years and 326 days.
