Joe Root's parents celebrate Gabba ton with kebab and wine

Joe Root's parents, Helen and Matt Root, quietly celebrated his maiden Test century in Australia at their hotel. Matt said they enjoyed "a kebab and a bottle of wine", and called it a "special moment". He added that Root remained calm, describing it as "just another day at the office," after scoring his 40th Test ton on Day 1 at Gabba.
