Joga Purty breaks own national record in women's speed climbing at Asiad

India's Joga Purty clocked 7.28s to finish ninth among 17 climbers in qualification round and advance into the women's speed climbing quarter-finals at Asian Games 2026 on Tuesday. The 19-year-old Asian Games debutant shattered her own previous national record of 7.37s, set at the Asian Championship earlier this year. The quarter-finals will take place on September 30.
