John to play Mohun Bagan captain in 1911 football match film

Actor John Abraham will portray late Indian footballer Shibdas Bhaduri in a film based on a football match set in the pre-independence era. Shibdas captained Mohun Bagan Athletic Club in the 1911 IFA Shield final when they defeated the East Yorkshire Regiment to become the first Asian team to win the competition.
