Johnson & Johnson told to pay ₹362 cr in baby powder cancer case
A California jury has awarded $40 million (around ₹362 crore) to two women who said Johnson & Johnson's baby powder was to blame for their ovarian cancer. The jury awarded $18 million to Monica Kent and $22 million to Deborah Schultz and her husband. It found that the firm knew its talc-based products were dangerous but failed to warn consumers.
