Join hands with us for democracy: Myanmar military leader

On the occasion of Myanmar's Union Day, military leader General Min Aung Hlaing on Friday urged everyone to join hands with the Army if they want democracy. "Historical lessons have taught us that only national unity can ensure the non-disintegration of the Union and the perpetuation of sovereignty," he added. Myanmar has witnessed protests since last week's military coup.
