Joker becomes first R-rated movie to earn $1 billion worldwide

Joaquin Phoenix-starrer 'Joker' has crossed the $1-billion mark at worldwide box office, making it the first R-rated movie in the history to do so. The film had surpassed Ryan Reynolds-starrer Deadpool 2's earnings of $785 million to become the highest grossing R-rated film. It's also the fourth Warner Bros and DC film to earn this much at global box office.
