Jolly-Gopichand reach Badminton World C'ships semis, confirm medal

India’s women’s doubles pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand defeated fourth-ranked Chinese duo Jia Yi Fan and Zhang Shu Xian 16-21, 21-15, 21-13 to reach the semi-finals of the Badminton World Championships 2026. The win assured the Indian pair of at least a bronze medal. They became the second Indian women's doubles pair to win a World Championships medal.
