Journalist Pawan Jaiswal, who exposed roti-salt mid-day meal in UP school, dies of cancer

Journalist Pawan Jaiswal, who had filmed students at a government school in Uttar Pradesh eating rotis with salt as their mid-day meal in 2019, passed away after battling oral cancer. The journalist was struggling to pay for his treatment and had appealed for funds last month. "Deeply saddened to hear about the untimely demise of this honest...journalist," tweeted Urmila Matondkar.
