JP Power share price surges 12% on Adani takeover bid

Shares of Jaiprakash Power surged nearly 12% on Wednesday to ₹15.63 after the NCLT approved Adani Enterprises's takeover bid for Jaiprakash Associates. Reports stated nearly 1,695.58 lakh shares were traded on the NSE following the oral order. Jaiprakash Associates owns a 24% stake in JP Power, and the acquisition could significantly improve confidence.
