Judge conducted mini-trial: CBI in appeal against Kejriwal's discharge in excise case

The CBI challenged in the Delhi High Court the lower court's discharge of all 23 accused, including Arvind Kejriwal, in the Delhi excise policy case. The CBI claimed that Judge Jitendra Singh selectively read the prosecution's case, lacked a basic understanding of the relevant law, and conducted a "mini-trial". Judge Singh had called CBI's case "infirm, unsustainable, and unfit".
