Julie Powell, food writer behind 'Julie & Julia', passes away at 49 due to cardiac arrest

Food writer Julie Powell passed away aged 49 due to cardiac arrest. She was known for spending a year documenting her attempts to cook all recipes in Julia Child's 'Mastering the Art of French Cooking' for her blog. It was later turned into book 'Julie & Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen', and movie 'Julie & Julia'.
