Just 20 mins of walking can stimulate gut, ease constipation: Study

A study published in Scientific Reports found that 20 minutes of walking can stimulate gut and provide relief from constipation. Researchers first monitored bowel sounds (BS) to assess intestinal activity in 21 young adults. They were then asked to walk at a comfortable pace. Within one to two minutes after walking, bowel-sound amplitude nearly doubled compared with their resting levels.
