Former Supreme Court judge Justice Rajesh Bindal has been appointed chairperson of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT). Bindal, who retired from the Supreme Court on April 15, succeeds Justice Ashok Bhushan, whose tenure ended July 4. The appointment follows Supreme Court scrutiny over the Ministry of Corporate Affairs' control over tribunals.
