K-drama actress apologises for great-grandfather's alleged pro-Japanese ties
South Korean actress Ha Young's agency, Bistus Entertainment, apologised after initially dismissing reports about her great-grandfather's alleged pro-Japanese activities as "groundless." Her great-grandfather, Dr Ahn Sang Ho, was a Daejeong Chinmokhoe council member, a pro-Japanese organisation in Korea during Japanese colonial rule. He earned Japan's first medical licence awarded to a Korean.
