K-RIDE launches 61-metre girders over NH-44 near Bengaluru

K-RIDE has launched two 61-metre Open Web Girders over NH-44 near Chandapura as part of the 48-km Baiyappanahalli-Hosur railway doubling project. Each girder weighs around 245 metric tonnes. The bridge design eliminates the need for an intermediate pier on the highway, supporting smoother vehicle movement. The associated railway and supporting works are targeted for completion by January 2027.
