K'taka facing one of the worst droughts in 75 yrs, 90% crops lost: Dy CM Parameshwara

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara said the state is facing one of its worst droughts in nearly 75 years, with around 90% of crops damaged. He said that helping farmers through the crisis was the state government's top priority. Parameshwara, who also holds the revenue portfolio, added that 217 of Karnataka's 240 taluks had already been declared drought-hit.
