K'taka govt bans dance performances on 'obscene' songs in schools

The Karnataka government has ordered all schools, government or private, to prohibit students from performing dances to "obscene" songs during educational or cultural programs. "Such acts have a bad effect on the mental health and moral values of the children," the order stated. School managements have been ordered to select songs that are inspiring, positive, and instil national pride.
