K'taka labourer dies in 60-feet fall while harvesting areca nuts

A 35-year-old labourer, Manju from Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, died after falling nearly 60 feet while harvesting areca nut bunches during routine farm work. He succumbed on the spot to severe injuries. Manju, the sole breadwinner of his family, prompted Kalasa police to visit the site, register a case, and launch an investigation into the accident.
