K'taka Minister says water bill to have 'green cess', Shivakumar denies

Karnataka Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre said the state government will impose ₹3 per month 'green cess' on water bills, adding that he has proposed this to bring awareness about the forest, environment and ecology among the people. However, Deputy CM DK Shivakumar refuted such claims and said there is no such proposal made. Shivakumar called 'green cess' reports "bogus news".
