Kabini, Harangi reservoirs near full capacity after heavy rain

Heavy rainfall in Kerala's Wayanad and Karnataka's Kodagu has pushed the Kabini and Harangi reservoirs close to full capacity. Authorities have started releasing water from both reservoirs to maintain safe levels and issued a flood alert for people living along riverbanks. The improved storage has also brought relief to farmers amid the ongoing Cauvery water-sharing dispute.
