Kalaburgi district's Kalagi town in Karnataka witnessed the highest temperature in the state today, recording a scorching 42 degrees Celsius, according to some sources it was 43.5 degrees Celsius. Large parts of India are grappling with an intense heatwave, with several regions expected to face severe conditions in the coming days.
